Borg7_of_9Greetings Esteemed Council Members!

I would like to present to you my proposal for Cybertown:

The Avatar Store

The Avatar Store is a much-needed service for Cybertown. A virtual mall for avatars, but much more than just that! A place where avatar users and avatar designers can meet together to share ideas, find help, and have avatar fashion shows, to name a few ideas!

In the 2D Store, we would find the usual set of 2D arrangements, the 2D javachat window, the Control Panel, etc. The Message Board would be utilized for citizens to place "want ads" for avatars that they need for themselves for special occasions, etc. Avatar Builders could also place ads here for their services.

In 3D, there would be several stores surrounding a central Auditorium. The Auditorium would be home to a central stage where avatar fashion shows would be held. This is also where Avatar Conventions could be conducted. The surrounding stores will be designated for different categories of avatars, such as "male" "female" "alien" "animal" "fantasy" etc.

There could be opportunities for Avatar Builders to become the "Designer of the Month" where they would be rewarded with having their design on display! This would encourage avatar designers to refine their skills so that their work could be seen!

An Avatar Store Manager would be entrusted to oversee the store's operation.

The Avatar plays a very important role in CT. It is a reflection of that person, of their personality, of how they see themselves, and how they would like others to see them. Because of this, the avatar deserves to have its own proper place, a much more prominent place. There are literally hundreds, probably thousands of avatars available. However, new users know very little about avatars before being exposed to Cybertown, but they can find the ?jump gate? quite easily, so a direct link from there to the store would enable new users, and old alike, to be able to have easy access to the avatar of their dreams, a click away!

This is project has been my dream since I first came to CT over three years ago. There are plans and blueprints available, World Builders that are willing to donate their time and energy, and many that already have. It is with the City Council's permission, help, and guidance, that I would like to bring this vision into reality.

Thank you for your time,

This is a repeat of a proposal I think had been approved but never implemented (since all old proposals were deleted). The proposal was simply to add a calendar (such as those found in the clubs) for all hoods/colonies so that we have an easily accessible place to post all pertinent events that is convenient & easy for any & everyone to find.

Thanks for your consideration!

SnowhandDear councel members, after having had a nice discussion about national and religious festivals and holidays, some people came to the conclusion that we don't know much about holidays outside of the US/ UK/ Christian world. We, kitty_keeper22, Orin and your's truly, also agreed that if people would be more informed, there would be more understanding. We would therefore propose the possibility to have a world/ religious holiday calendar in cybertown, accompanied by a sort of database with customs in relation to particular holidays. We hope that people would check it regularly, and learn from it, and look with more respect towards those who believe differently, or do not live in their country. And perhaps it's possible even for CVN to publish such holidays as they occur. I am fully willing to cooperate in creating the database, and I am sure that a lot of other citizens are willing to do the same. Regards, Snowhand, kitty_keeper22 and Orin APPROVED
Space10045Hello, I don't know how long it has been in place, but awhile back a block was put onto the Outlands so that you couldn't right click to change options. Although, quickly people found a way to get by this to change the options. Instead all you have to do is click on the center slider (on some mouses) and the right mouse button at the same time. Some sample options that they change are the ability to slide, they turn gravity off, they turn collision off, and they turn wireframe on. These things ruin the game. Outlands is a great place to be, but newbies are scared off because people slide over them and beam them out way too fast before they even see them. Also, wireframe allows them to see through everything to see people quickly. This isn't the point of Outlands. I propose that these options be permanently hidden or disabled. Make it so you can not right click in any way, or use any key shortcuts to turn wireframe on, or turn collision and gravity off. Also, sliding should be prohibited. I understand that this would take some VRML programming, but have already located a place that uses this type of coding somehow. The Jail uses coding so that when you right click wireframe cant be turned on, and you cant turn collision, or gravity off. This coding could be placed into the Outlands to make it far better. BlueSilhouetteI would like to see implemented in Ct a different color chat area. The green is hard on the eyes.Maybe a Blue or black chat area with maybe a (white text for a blue chat) and peach color text on black)Thank YouAPPROVED
Mage_NightStarMaybe we could have a fund box in the Neighborhoods, this would promote easy funds instead of trying to a staff member or resident with a empty house so we could use them as a bank. Also this will allow us to have a steady income of cash flow when ever the Neighborhood staff needs it.APPROVED
